"Ex- Basketball Player " Paragraph

School athletics are not very important to me, because I would much rather concentrate in school academics. School athletics do not help much to prepare young people for future life experiences. The only thing I think you get from athletics that might help is endurance. Other than that I think that athletics will not prepare you for life. In my opinion athletics have really nothing to do with life as you get older. How do athletics prepare you for life? Unless you are really good and you get scholarships and things similar to that and such. Other than that I do not really see what types of achievements you can make.

What it means to be a Sophomore.

When you become a sophomore it means that you are no longer a freshman. It means that you should have gotten the hang of how things are supposed to function by then. It means that it is time to start thinking about your future because the next three years are just going to fly by. It is time for you start becoming more serious about what you want in life. It means to stop goofing off and giving a care about schoolwork. It means being mature because you’re no longer a newbie and you should be prepared no one should be doing things for you or guiding you within every step you take.

SPA Poem

My life at SPA is a dull as an over used blade.
It is as appalling as a two star movie.
It does not glide smoothly like Chap Stick on a humans lips.
It is very rough like pumices stone.
I have learned to deal with this like a sled dog forced to run another race!

Free Choice Blog Post/First Toaster Strudel Moment with Griselda!

One night Griselda and I were talking about food, because of course that’s all we do, and so Griselda asked me if I had ever eaten toaster strudel’s and I replied no. Griselda was anxious it seemed she had never met someone who had never eaten a toaster strudel. The next day we went to the grocery store and I bought two boxes of toaster strudel. My sugar was low and my special man friend had just stopped being my special man friend so it was the perfect time for a delicious warm toaster strudel. Griselda and I made coffee and prepared the strudels. We took the food to my room and sat on my bed. We both counted to three, and at three we bit the toaster strudel. The toaster strudel was very sweet and warm it was all right. I will always remember this day because it was my first toaster strudel, and it was with a very special person, basically the only important person in my life, Griselda. Later on I discovered Griselda would become “my first” a lot of things and I love her very much she’s a great “first” person!

"I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca. Paragraph

The emotion that the poem, "I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca, creates is a somewhat of a warming emotion. He offers this poem as a gift to the reader making them feel cared about by saying “I love you”, or it can also make the reader feel like he is there or is known by the reader. He explains to the readers how he cannot give material things, but he instead offers this poem as a gift. That is the type of emotion he creates with this poem.

"Heart! We will forget him!" Paragraph

The writer of “Heart! We will forget him!" talks to her heart as if she is preaching to another person and there could be many reasons why she does so. One of the reasons maybe is that it’s been proven that the more you say things to yourself the more likely it is for you to do them or to convince yourself that it’s true. So by doing so the author may have been convinced or trying to convince herself that she is not heartbroken or will get over it. In a way the author was trying to engrave in her mind and heart that she is not heartbroken and I she is then she will get over it pain free.

My Teaching Experience

My experience teaching fourth period was stressful and sorry to say but, it was also horrid. Most of the students were impertinent and offensive. When fifth period came I was glad I made it out of there with out having some sort of out burst. Other than that I was glad my partner and I got the whole lesson plan done because, it was truly confusing and somewhat difficult for us. I was also ecstatic to get the whole project over and done with because, quite frankly I was beginning to get pretty aggravated and exasperated with it. Other than the issues with the children in period four I think we did a pretty good job and apparently so did Ms. Priester. At the end of the period Ms. Priester told my partner and I we had done a good job and that lifted my spirits a little.

Paragraph to Persuade You to Read My Poem

The poem that my partner and I are teaching is “Same Song” by Pat Mora. People should read this poem because, it’s a good poem that teaches about, what many teens and youth are going through right now. Many youth members are not fulfilled with their appearance. They are not satisfied with who they are. They are not pleased, not the smallest amount, by the person they see in the mirror. This brings us to this poem. This poem represents not one but two teenagers of both genders who look in the mirror each day and see not the person that they were expecting to come in contact with. Many teens face this struggle everyday it’s not unusual but it’s also not okay. This poem will show people including youth that they are not the only ones feeling this way.
