Testing Thoughts Paragraph

I have already taken the CAHSEE a couple of times I passed the English portion of it the first time, but I always miss the math portion by a couple of points. I wasn't told if I needed to take the CAHSEE this time around so I hope I finally passed it. The first time however that I took the CASHEE I was really nervous. I calmed myself down a little, and then I just tried to relax and I did OK. The next day I freaked out though and I was like really stressed and tired, I had my head down most of the time because I was having a really hard time concentrating. I failed my test that day, but I still kept trying on it. Every time I get stressed during a test I go take like a 5 minute walk and then go back and finish.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would rather get caught singing in the mirror, rather than getting caught spying on my crush. I would rather get caught singing, because I honestly do think that it's much less embarrasing than getting caught by my crush spying on them. Both things have happend to me and I really do think it was harder to explain to my crush what I was doing staring at them. It's really awkward to try and explain, on the other hand singing in front of the mirror isn't all that bad, because thats also happend to me, and I will just get some kind of compliment like "oh you sing really good Chels!!". So yes I much rather get caught singing in front of the mirror.

Response to Priester's Syllabus

I feel like I’m kind of already adapted to Ms. Priester’s environment, because I’ve had her since freshmen year so it shouldn’t be any different. I’m kind of already familiar with the rules, tardy policies, absences, and make-up work. I had trouble last year so I have to retake English 10 my junior year which I don’t mind. I just hope that this year I won’t be to shy to ask questions or get help. I am really familiar with the way Ms. Priester’s classroom works so I don’t have much questions I’m pretty much aware of everything. I also think Ms. Priester expects me to know her rules and expectations since I’ve been in her classroom since freshman year. I’m ready to try English 10 again!

My biggest goal was to try and go to school and I tried... It was also my biggest obstacle thanks to certain incidents...

CST Testing Reflection

When we were taking the CST’s I felt pretty nervous at first, but then after I started I felt all right. On Monday we took the English portion and I felt I did a good job, but I am not sure. We had a break and then we did the second portion of the test and I felt really tired with all the reading and stuff. I finished and read a book. The next day I tested in the tech center and it was really hard for me because I don’t really understand math so I don’t think I did really good. The other two test were for history and science and I wasn’t so sure about those either but I tried and did my best!

Fourth Quarter Goals.

Last quarter the accomplishments I had made for myself pretty much went to the drain, but the one thing I will give myself is that I still tried. My goal for this quarter is to keep trying to not let anything stop me from what I am trying to do. It’s been kind of hard lately and sometimes I just want to give up and not try at all and that’s mostly where I stand everyday. There are certain people though that I feel that I just cant disappoint including myself. So I keep on trying day by day taking baby steps even if its just waking up and walking to school.

Fourth Quarter Kickoff Reflection/ Echocardiogram

I did not attend the fourth quarter kick off I had an echocardiogram that day and it was very interesting! When I got to the doctors they told me they needed am echocardiogram. I thought to myself “What the heck is that?” I was very scared at first and then they explained to me that it was going to be ok. I didn’t know what it was they told me it was like an ultrasound of my heart so I was a tiny bit calmer but still pretty scared and anxious. When I got to the room they put three sticker wire things on my chest and ribcage and then the process began! When I saw my heart I smiled I was so excited for some reason. I guess because now I actually knew and was aware from that day on that I in fact did have a heart. I got to hear my heartbeat and it sounds nothing like what you hear in movies or television. It made a sloshing noise. I got to see the four chambers of my heart, which I thought, were pretty amazing, and then I finally asked for a picture the ultrasound technician gave me two. When she took off the stickers it kind of stung a little, but before I knew it I was back home and I gave Griselda one of the pictures. I happily told her about the whole appointment!

Poetry Experience Paragraph

I am very excited about studying poetry, because I think it is very interesting and soothing. I think it expresses a lot of emotion and it is very calming. It is also very interesting to read and discuss. I think it would be a lot of fun for the class, and it would interesting to hear everyone’s ideas and opinions about the different types of poems and styles of poetry they are out there. It would also be great for us to learn about different poems and poets. I think it is very important for us to study poetry and learn about the poets or poetry that made or caused an impact in today’s literature. It is important, because I think we should know why certain poems or poets are famous. That is my personal input in studying poetry!

Third Quarter Goals Reflection

My third quarter goals were very positive, but I somehow managed to fall to the same place I was in the beginning. Here I am again however trying to get back to the top and trying really hard to not give up. I have come up with a plan and I think it is a really great plan, but in order to make it happen I have to get to work now so it can pay off later on. I honestly wanted to just give up and not do anything at all anymore, but after a talk with Ms. Priester today I hope I can get my grades up and try harder. Actually I will try harder! One of my main goals in life is to go to UNLV, and I really want to make it happen. So right now I am realizing that in order to make it happen I have to put myself to work now.

Feelings about the CAHSEE

My feelings about the CAHSEE are mixed. I am kind of nervous, but then again I am like really ecstatic for some reason. I think I will do really well in the English section of the CAHSEE, but I don’t know about the math part because I am really horrible when it comes to math. I am really optimistic about it though. I am not being really negative, because I am convinced that if I am negative I will decline my chances of passing the CAHSEE. Right now I am thinking that if I set myself to it then I will probably most likely pass both sections of the test. Overall I think I will do a great job, but until then we will see!

“Where Have You Gone, Charming Billy?” Enlist Paragraph

If I could enlist in the military I would, because it could give me more endurance. I need the endurance, because it is a great skill, life skill. I would also join to be of help to the country and community. I would join the army because it would be beneficial and have many great benefits. If I were in the selective service and was drafted out onto a war, I would not try to dodge it I would just go with the flow and join which ever thing they wanted me to. I wouldn’t dodge it, because I wouldn’t want to have to hide for basically the rest of my life or be found and arrested. I rather just deal with it and have whatever happens, happen.
